Movement Is Medicine
Restoring Mobility. Restoring Dignity.
About Movement Is Medicine
Empowering Movement Through Compassion and Action
Movement Is Medicine was founded on the belief that mobility is more than just motion—it’s freedom, dignity, and opportunity. What began as one man’s mission to repair a single wheelchair has evolved into a global nonprofit dedicated to restoring independence for individuals with mobility challenges. Through compassion-driven programs, we rebuild lives by repairing, refurbishing, and redistributing essential mobility devices to those who need them most.
Our founder, Reece Roshoun Richards, turned a life-changing volunteer experience into a worldwide movement for accessibility and inclusion. From disaster relief efforts in the Caribbean to community partnerships in the U.S., every restored wheelchair, walker, or scooter represents hope renewed. Our story is powered by skilled hands, generous hearts, and a shared belief that movement truly is medicine.
